This year, Seoul Foreign School hosted APAC boy’s soccer with open arms. A total of six teams participated in the tournament, and it was a brilliant showcase of skills. The victors of the tournament were the hosts, Seoul Foreign School. They were excellent this year, winning five of their six games and losing only to Hong Kong International School, whom they later went on to beat in the final.
SAS Puxi this year also did an exceptional job. Just like the champions they won five out of their six games, but lost to Seoul Foreign School. This loss cost them a place in the final due to the number of goals conceded. SAS Puxi came in third.
Apart from this disappointing finish, APAC had many positives to take away, such as the bombardment of food. Between games, there were multiple PTA stands selling instant noodles, fruits, and Gatorade, which helped keep the athletes fueled. Each team was designated a tented area with chairs and a table, which was extremely useful because it gave the players a space to rest and eat. Another positive was that the weather was beautiful, very hot and sunny almost every day. On Saturday however, the day of the finals, it rained. Lastly, it must be said that the hospitality from the home-stay families and the school was very welcoming and every team felt at home.
