Winter Formal

On Saturday, January 23, the senior council hosted its annual Winter Formal in YuYuan from 8PM to midnight. This year, the theme was “out of this world,” and students who entered the party were provided with many things: Western food and desserts, an unlimited quantity of drinks, and various genres of music. Students at Winter Formal took this opportunity to socialize with friends and relieve the stress of academics.

With the help from the photography club, there not only were two photo booths for students to take pictures, but there also were polaroid and DSLR cameras going around, taking candid photos of students having fun.

In between songs, the senior council awarded seniors Winnie Chen and Kenny Zhu as this year’s Winter Formal King and Queen. In addition, a new category named ‘bromance’ was introduced, and sophomores Timothy Tan and Andy Zhao were the first to be nominated. These nominees were previously chosen by votes of many students in each grade level.
