Since Chinese New Year break is almost here, many people staying in Shanghai may tend to visit big warm brand malls to celebrate the New Year together. Today, I would like to introduce you to a unique mall that not a lot of people can recognize!
Located next to Shui Cheng Road on Metro line 10 is the Star Live Plaza that opened on September of 2015. This building is also known as the “music building,” because the installation of this plaza was planned by many of China’s music channels, such as Xing Kong(星空) and CHANNEL [V]. One of Xing Kong’s most famous audition program, named the “Voice of China,” is also held here; thus, many celebrities also visit this mall very often.
The first three floors are similar to other malls—there are a few famous brands in shopping areas, such as Uniqlo and MINISO; the basement, second, and the third floors are full of diverse cultures of meals and desserts; and there is a huge gym that takes up almost half the third floor.
However, starting from the fourth floor, there are special music rooms provided by the music companies. There are rooms available for KTV, auditions, and even 1:1 personal vocal trainings with professional coaches. Anyone who is interested in singing, whether for fun or for a future career, can visit this floor and learn more about music.
Because this plaza opened less than a year ago, not a lot of people know about or visit this place. However, there are lots of stores and entertainments to discover in this plaza more than one would expect. If you like places that are peaceful and less crowded, I recommend you go out to the mall and spend some wonderful time with your close families and friends! Star Live Plaza is located just next to Shui Cheng Road station.
